Hello all. Myself and my Dad are booked in for tomorrow but 2 things have arisen this morning that may put a stop to it.

1: No insurance docs have turned up for our track cover. All paid for but Competition Car Insurance dont appear to be answering their phones and we dont have any confirmation of cover. Do we need to take insurance confirmation on the day?

2: Car came back from MV last week with a clean bill of health but its smelling of petrol in the interior, should we presume this will be ok for tomorrow?

Thanks guys,
BEN

1.
paperwork not required by the track people.

2.
Apart from the obvious visual inspection of all fuel pipes...
- have you refueled recently - this sometimes causes a smell
- make sure the black rubber fuel overspill pipe directly underneath the filler cap neck is intact
- make sure your filler cap is adjusted to seal properly - nut at the base sometime needs adjusting (note that the black plastic insert in the cap is designed to expand only when you turn the key 90deg to lock).

Good luck!

If I leave mine for any length of time, there's a smell of petrol. Most seem to do this. It's not an issue.

Thanks. See you all in the morning bright and early :-)
