Noble M400 - What to ask the Ford Parts Counter guy
Discussion
I have a 2007 M400 on the wrong side of the pond that shredded its Accessory Drive Belt at a recent track day. Sadly the search function doesn't appear to be working for me, so my profuse apologies, firstly.
Obviously, I need a new belt and was wondering if it is a standard Ford part and, if so, what the part number would be?
But more generically, if I'm in need of something standard-Ford for the engine/transmission/etc., what is the Ford engine "number or series" or what equivalent Ford car should I ask the parts guy to search under?
Thanks for your assistance.

Are all the accessories in the same layout as they were in the Ford? If they are different that could affect the length you need.
Your best bet is to find a fellow Noble owner with the same spec and ask them to get the numbers off their belt or, failing that, you could run a piece of string around the belt route and measure the length.
I guess it's a 6 rib belt, so the belt number will start 6PK (or 5PK if it's a 5 rib belt etc). The rest of the belt number is the length in mm. Find a belt off the shelf within 5mm of your number and you should be good to go.
The 3.0 Mondeo V6 had two belts, a 3 rib for the water pump 3PK683 and a 6 rib for the alternator 6PK2075. That might work as a starting point, but I don't know Nobles I'm afraid, only Fords!
