Has this forum gone into hibernation
Discussion
Hi there is it me or has it gone really quiet on here in the last year or so.This forum used to be a hub of activity with plenty of knowledgable noble owners at the ready to comment on issues/problems with cars that owners may have.Is it a case of Facebook is the only way to go (which some folk just don't use) now for help/info ?.It is a shame as this was one of the best forums on ph.

Hi Chris, I was thinking the same. I’ve posted on here recently several times and no response by anyone!!! Oooh well shame, because as you said there was a lot of help and info being touted and now it’s pretty thin on the ground. Don’t do Facebook. Maybe not bother posting up issues that I’ve found to help if this site is now virtually redundant 🤔
Yes - very quiet on here nowadays, which is a shame, as it used to be a very helpful resource.
I also generally don't "do" facebook, although I have an account and will look occasionally. The problem I have with Facebook is that it's very difficult to search/find anything specific, something which this forum was very good for (even with the dodgy PH search).
The main reason that activity moved away from here (as I understand it) is that several of the more regular posters, who were also helping the community by (for example) making carbon parts, sourcing group buys etc, fell foul of the rules on PH, and were banned/told to desist. They were left little option than to go elsewhere, so Facebook was the most obvious place, and most followed.
The latest issue which further reduces the usefulness of this forum is that it appears that the wiki has ceased to work, and not sure if it's recoverable.
Big Al has had a look, but without success. I believe it needs restoring from a backup taken anytime before early October - looks like it was updated on 11th, and then ceased to work.

I too would be sorry to lose this forum, I don't do Facebook and this is my only way of keeping in touch with the Noble community. I have been lucky to not need any help recently but it has been a boon in the past.
I am reluctant to post just for the sake of keeping it alive. Could chat/PH bannable stuff be maintained on Facebook and technical/meeting stuff be directed to here?

It was one poster in particular - holds the record for, was it, 3 bans?
Anyway, I totally agree. Although I post regularly on FB I hate it. Good for mobile but, as you say, rubbish search and no page view so you can never see everything laid out in front of you. It wasn’t designed for groups or forums, rather kids chit-chat.
I think I’ve a copy of most things Noble so ask in the future.
