3R starter motor

Any of you gents know if the starter motor off the 3R is from a standard Mondeo 3.0 ST220 . Any advice would be appreciated as mine has given up the will to live

Yes you can use that one but it can get a little close to the fuel tank ...

There is a different version with a smaller lump on the side - Ask Jetstream, they sourced mine

The Mondeo one wouldn't fit on mine, tank was in the way. You need the shorter solenoid. Any starter rebuilder can source one, I paid £20 locally.

Took my dodgy starter into a local auto electrician in Newcastle and he had it fixed in 15 minutes at a cost of £5 ! Tried to give him a tenna as I was embarrassed at the cost but he was having non of it haha . Still some good people in this world after all I guess
