Thanks. It's a standard 2.5 exhaust, that's just had the back box removed and a friend then fabricated a straight through pipe. Not much louder than standard but improved the sound.

As long as it still has cats it will. All the silencer does is as it's name suggests.

This is getting more interesting. So effectively you've replaced the silencer with a straight through bypass pipe and the car passes an MOT.

I wonder why it was fitted with a box in the fist place then Did it need remapping?
