Transmission tunnel

Not difficult apparently ,next job on my car is to get the floor resealed and I asked Dave at Jetstream about the pipes in the tunnel. They rarely give trouble and it makes little difference regarding the floor off or not in terms of ease of replacement .
Yes, they rarely give trouble but they do perish. Should be replaced if still originals.ACT can supply those with or without a full coolant kit in your choice of silicone. Its relatively easy to attach new to old and pull through, floor doesn't need to be removed.
Just don't be tempted to use the high grip Mikalor clamps in place of usual Jubilees, take my word for it - they're no good on smaller diameters. Because the solid pipes that the silicone attaches too is long enough in most places you can double up the Jubilee clips for a much better seal.

The pipes that run the full length of the car are alloy and never gives problems . More of a concern is the flexi blue braided brake line hose that runs the full length of the car !! Mine failed which left me with a very dodgy brake pedal !!!! Jetstream replaced with a solid copper brake line . Made the peddle a lot firmer !!
This leak could be the hot water valve if coming from the tunnel. When Jetstream replaced my floor it started leaking straight away after, I imagine this is a weak spot worth changing or at least inspecting if the floor is being replaced and shouldn't be overlooked. Any specialist should know this. When I replaced mine it was a pain, and looked like the hoses on first inspection, so be aware before pulling everything out. Good luck
