Hi folks,
there is coming white smoke out of the exhaust of my 3R.
150 miles driven after relized it. Almost entire oil was gone after this distance.
Turbos not properly working driving 60 miles per hour and more.
The first look at the engine:
There is oil in combustion chamber.
Turbos seem to be ok from the compression side. (did not proove the other side yet)
Someone made experience wit this failure already?
What can it be? Piston rings?
Approximataly costs?

Would it not be blue smoke if it was oil burning? Have u checked head gasket? Could the white smoke be steam (water vapor) and the ecu has put the engine in limp mode? Which is why u felt no turbo boost?
The loss of oil? If the chamber was so full of oil you would be blowing lots of blue smoke? So I wouldn't think piston rings is the problem

Sounds like a Turbo oil seal to me.
If it was the breather, I think it would be more blue smoke rather than white? And I doubt it would get rid of all the oil that quickly.
But the high pressure oil feed to the turbos will certainly do that as it dumps it down the exhaust and also into the intercooler, which will now be pretty contaminated. The oil going down the exhaust will be vaporised and look like white smoke.
Don't ask me how I know this...........
