Sound proofing
Discussion
added weight, I know,, but considering I'm also adding a few unnecessary kgs, and the car is only used for trips out (LeMans/Spa etc) and the noise can get a bit boring after 4 hours.
Has anyone fitted any sound deadening or proofing? If so how much and where? Front Wheel wells, rear bulkhead, doors? Has it made much difference? Winters on its way and I will have time to do..

Yes, I did this before going on my Europe trip this year.
Superlite dynamite on the rear bulkhead, shelf and even around the window, backup up with dynaliner....
The floor had the same super light treatment then a heavy Dynapad.
I also used the Superlight and dynaliner under the dash and on the wheel wells and doubled up rear... the dynaliner is actually really light and VERY effective if done right.
I then recarpeted the entire cabin in a lightweight black carpet.... all the old carpet and fibre was binned which offset the weight addition. Id say I added 15kgs to the car.
Car is still a LONG way from quiet, but its massively better than it was before.... Even for my lightweight obsession it was more than worth it.
Also added this and a 8inch subwoofer cut into the tunnel so that I didn't encroach into any of the cabin anywhere and maximise luggage for the 10 day trip lol
These added 5kgs, but with the soundeadening above the stereo is now awesome due to the small cockpit and quality amp... my lithium battery really help with the pump I'm sure.
