Hello,

Any chance someone in here has his Noble running on an Emerald (K6) ECU?
My Magnetti Marelli is the source of my emission problems. I already have some experience helping a friend while he built in EFI on his Esprit with carbs. There we used an Emerald K3. Car ran magnificent. Hence why I'm thinking about the Emerald.

Regards,
Gert

If you go for an Omex 600 you can get an adaptor loom, I pretty sure they both use Gems software

Would that be for a 2.5? Just to make sure.
You are running the Omex 600?

I guess that would not be an Omex 600 but a higher version? As far as I can see, the 600 has 1 output to little.
Can I ask why you changed from MBE to Omex? In need of power or not very stable?

The only reason a 2.5 would have an Omex is due to having to change the Marelli ECU due to issues. Back then noble Motorsport were kind of the only people offering a solution.

If It were me I would fit the best I could afford with the most functionality

I didnt change it to omex.It was fitted on the car already. The car had the original marelli which is as you know not good.It was then fitted through Noble with the mbe as per later 2.5s.The owner then wanted more options and went for the omex .I have yet to explore its capabilities

I had an omex 610 fitted to my 2.5
And then I changed the engine to a 3L 600 bhp. And still use the omex.

I am running a K6 on my 2.5
It came with the car when I bought it. Can't say much more. At some stage I plan to add la switch on the dash so I can select different maps on the fly.

Is it connected to the old wiring loom?
Are you happy with how the car/engine performs?
Great to read anyhow, it has already been done.

Great question. It is currently in the process of having a new custom loom fitted. This will add a camshaft sensor to the crank sensor. When done the K6 will use camshaft position, crank position, water temp, air temp, lambda and boost. I am promised that this will improve performance but I was happy with it until the current loom failed.
Emerald do an off shelf 4 pot loom for for Duratechs that I know lots of the Westfield lads use. I am sure that they would do a 6 pot one if you ask. Emerald have been responsive to e-mails I have sent, I will be sticking with the K6 as it seems to be well supported.

Any chance a 2nd loom can be made? ;-) it would certainly help my project a lot and could be a bit less expensive for yours?
