Fuel pump fuse

Hi guys

Fuel pump isn't priming and I'm hoping its just the fuse. Its on the bulkhead if I remember correctly but which one is it? I've got uprated pump and wiring but standard fuse layout.

Any help gratefully received. Thanks in advance.

Just check them all. Make sure terminations are clean

If you have upgraded wiring there should be a fuse in that circuit as well as the bulkhead fuse?

More than likely the bulkhead relay , they are prone to problems , the fuses are mounted on a chassis rail in the drivers side rear side pod , check to make sure it's got the plastic cover on it , if not the water can get in and caroded .

Thanks Tux. Fuses on chassis rail are all ok, clean and dry. Will search for the other fuse for the uprated pump, otherwise I guess its the relay like you say.

Earth clamp on the battery might be worth a check. When i had ECU trouble i noticed that you need a real good contact is required there for the pump to prime, you can have all of your other electrics working but if the clamp is a little loose the pump wont prime ( on mine anyway )

It is a noble, it is good practice to replace all of the engine bay fuses once a year

If you don't find a blown fuse, it may be worth checking this relay (ns rear). When mine failed, it blew the bulkhead fuse, but they don't have to cause a short when they malfunction.

Cheers everyone for the advice, really appreciated.

Quick update - the fuse from battery to uprated pump is cooked. Looks like it's been subject to excessive heat for a while and this has happened over time. Not sure what has caused that. It's now in Skip's hands for its service and other jobs, so I'm hoping his much bigger Noble brain will sort it out.
