anybody know any history about the blue 3r for sale?
Discussion
it seems a nit too cheap for a late 3r, especially in today's increasing prices.

That's literally 5 minutes from me and I have seen it in the metal at a recent car show in maldon. Looked very tidy but not immaculate - that was a couple of months ago so can't be more specific. Definitely didn't notice anything untoward. Barry Ely himself is very old school - in his 60s and very knowledgable. I've used him a couple of times for niggles on my 400 (cracked arb and minor oil leak) and he does the job properly. However, he is VERY... how can I put it... Tight! Don't expect to negotiate much. You won't win an argument with him either

In my opinion £37k for an average 3R is the right money at the moment. Ive not seen any standard cars sell for over 40k
Thing is, with such tiny volumes what's 'average'? And most seem to have been modded/improved, certainly among PH and FB owners. It's almost like each car has its own value. But overall, asking prices have been heading north, and 37k for a good 3R now seems like a bit of a bargain. Hawkinsster said:
