Leather or Alcantara?
Discussion
I prefer leather, which is one of the reasons that I specifically searched for a 3R.
I accept that alcantara is traditionally associated with sporting applications. However my bum is snug enough in the standard 3R seats so as not to move around (even on track).
I don't know which would be more comfortable in hot weather.
From a resale point of view, anyone searching for a 3R may also expect to see leather.

I prefer leather for its luxury look and resale value, oh and smell when its been properly cleaned and fed.
I like alcantara, particularly on track - but I would still want leather in overall preference.
That said - I would of bought the car, whatever material it had. Its not THAT high on my agenda.
And at the other end of the scale, i'd rather have an alcantara steering wheel in preference to leather

I am restoring a Noble 3R.
I have interior with Leather black/white and i think to replace with total Alcantara black/gray.
What do you prefer? Leather or alcantara?
How about for the seats leather sides (wear better getting in and out) and alcantra centres (better bum grip)?I have interior with Leather black/white and i think to replace with total Alcantara black/gray.

My leather is in good condition, but the problem it is that the car doors have equal color but not equal leather quality.
One is totaly smooth and one is more natural (i prefer this).
I don't know if replace all internal with new leather or alcantara, or if replace only smooth panel with new leather...

May just be me but for some reason in Nobles I think the leather looks a bit incongruous. Doesn't really suit the rest of the interior.
I think the blue / black alcantara (depends on external colour) is the most striking and so much nicer to the touch. Also then matches the exceptionally smart inside roof!
My car is so damn hot, I can't imagine sitting in it with leather. I'd end up sitting in a puddle of sweat....

I think plain black leather is the smartest looking interior finish. But then again I have recently fitted alcantara M400 seats in place of my black leather. These are better for track use.
The 2 tone interiors look cheap and a bit tacky in my opinion.
Also, my car didn't get too hot with full leather, AC perfectly capable of maintaining a nice interior temp, even through Europe in summer.
