Big thank-you to Andy for his invaluable advise over the phone from one LeMans campsite to the other!!!
The car had run faultlessly all the way down to LeMans and had a good blast on the Saturday morning "parade" laps, only car to pull away was the new Ferrari TDF, that things quick!!! Good fun but it was crazy busy on a race track!!!!

Went to take out a TVR blogger who wanted to do a piece on the car and bugger-me the thing runs like a bag a nails and almost identical to the problem I had with it at Castle Coombe.

After some stress and a long call to the recovery vehicle people, a quick call to Andy got the job sorted. All it was was the vacuum pipe had blown off!!!!

Intersting point made was you can't drive the car if you bend or snapped a valve, so strange this symptom was so similar to my last problem that required a rebuild after I drove the car to the garage?!?!?!

So Glad you got it sorted mate smile

Shame we didn't manage to catch up. As you know I had my own issues when i literally blew my engine up doing the impressive reving launch control trick for a large group of people while pissed (egged on by my pissed wife and friends lol).
Fortunately it was just the inlet manifold that we had blown to bits and we managed to find most of the bits and they hadn't been injested by the engine smile.... duct tape, glue and some silicon managed to stick it together enough to get us home. Seems I now need to fit new inlet manifold wink

Best Lemans ever lol

Think Craig got footage of it exploding, hopefully he can upload it for a laugh

Great weather wasn't it, how those old-boys coped with the heat inside their race cars i have no idea, track temp was over 30 degrees!!

What you can do with glue and gaffer-tape!!!!

If you haven't been to the Classic LeMans I can highly recommend it, great fun and a good mix of people, get the paddock pass and get to see and talk to those who own and/or drive some fantastic old beasts.

We went with Travel Destinations, very good campsite and very well organised. Got to park the car on display on the Bugatti Circuit.

Did spot another M12 3R who had also done the parade lap, number plate read P11 CKY or similar, anyone here??

Arnage in the evening is quite interesting for a bit of lairyness!!!
