Hi all,

Despite being old enough to know better, I've just bought this: http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/n... From Giles Cooper - nice easy transaction with no BS.

The car's had all the essentials done - TDS, LSD, fuel pump mod etc. plus a host of other work including upgraded turbos, intercooler, H&S exhaust, Ohlins and what appears to be pretty much the entire ProAlloy and Reverie catalogues.

For a 14 year old car, it is pretty much immaculate and a real credit to its former owners, some of whom are on here i think.

Anyhoo, the car now resides in Dorset smile Any other Nobs nearby?

Cheers,

Bill

Welcome Bill. That's a lot of car for the money clap Worth a lot more than that IMHO. I wonder if it's the only UK car with the rear US Sonata lights fitted? I don't favour the door mirrors but perhaps that's just me - prefer the originals.

Purchased a 350 wedge from Giles Cooper back in late 80s - nice bloke.

If you fancy giving your new toy a decent driving shakedown there's a Noble dealer open day this Saturday in the High Wycombe area.

Thanks all. Have been lurking on here for months and learned a huge amount from the collective wisdom before buying. Hope I've put it all to good use.

Thanks for the heads up on the meet next Saturday but I'm committed to a local event this weekend unfortunately. Hope to meet up with some of you soon though.

Cheers,

Bill

Hi Bill,

Just saw this thread, so a belated welcome to The Nobility!

Saw your car at Wilton the other day; very nice. We arrived late, but parked about a dozen cars away thanks to a vacated space (cheers Bart!). Sorry to miss you Lofty!

There's a few of us in and around Dorset; I was in Christchurch but just moved a few miles into Hampshire.

If you want an excuse to bring your car out, there's a monthly PHers meet (first Monday) at the Bournemouth Golf place, here :- http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a.... I get to most of the Wilton and Goodwood Breakfast meets and will be at the Supercar weekend at Beaulieu for the weekend after next, so say hello if you're along to any of them.

Thanks Dave. Am already committed for the Beaulieu weekend unfortunately but will certainly try and get down to one or two of the Bournemouth PH meets. Hope to catch up soon.

Cheers,

Bill

Hey Bill,

Just returned to the Nobility myself having previously owned a 3R I bought from Giles back in the days of the TVR centre in Barnet. I see you're based down in Dorset? Does this mean you came all the way up to the Cambs/Essex border to buy your car or has Giles moved elsewhere these days?

Hi Al,

He hasn't moved - I just decided the eight hour round trip was worth it! There were a couple of cars a bit nearer but I was looking for one that had certain upgrades already done and this one fitted the bill.

Giles is a good guy to deal with. I see he's just got another one up for sale.

Welcome back yourself - bet you missed it while you were without one. Six weeks in and I can't get the grin of my face. What a machine....

Cheers,

Bill

Glad you're enjoying it too, I am so pleased to be back that even the aircon packing up yesterday in the melting heat couldn't wipe the grin off my face biggrin Turned out only to be a fan that had stopped spinning and now, thanks to 90 mins at Kerridges this morning, is back to full health with lovely cool air again

Giles is a good guy and I'm sure you made a wise choice. Happy driving driving
