Had a new Exhaust fitted at Hayward and Scott over the last couple of weeks. Posted on FB, but not here. A good job, much bassier at high revs, cleaner pick up and feels slightly quicker. Only thing I would say is don't expect customer service, they are extremely old school.... Oh! And expect to be relieved of £2640!

Nice! Does it resonate into the car? Or to boomy? I'm looking at a new open soon but don't want it to change the character of the car.

I have a standard exhaust and it seems to be getting louder over ownership. It pops and bangs loads to. I have new manifolds so I don't know what it could be.

Roll on 2 weeks when I get my H&S made & Fitted.

Ian - is yours a standard 3R?
What spec did you go for?

Standard 3R
Stainless Steel
Flexi joints from Manifolds
Sports Cats
Same shape tips, just larger diameter

When off boost its not that intrusive, when on its quite loud, no pops and bangs and I miss that from my TVR days, wish I could get it back. The sound is definitely different from standard, much more of a growl

Any chance of a piccy of the tips please? I asked for the standard look, but a little larger may look good.
Cheers

That can be sorted by the map but might not be great for the Cats

Will try to take one this week if I get home in time. Was going to at the wkd, but weather was cr*p, so just left it in the garage.

Apologies, here is a good one, sorry its a bit filthy, got caught in a deluge, then I drove through a field.

Standard manifolds and no remap, done 300 miles now and it has not missed a beat

John Canfield has put a great vid of his on the FB site

So I noticed John, yours looks a great job too. I was going to go for the ceramic coating, but as I don't do track days it seemed a bit excessive. I'm just going to add some lagging when I replace the heat reflective sheets on the inside of the diffuser....I'd have got the repackable option if I'd have known I could have though frown

Hi John , I was curious to know how did you get on with remap , around 425 bhp 400 ft/lb ?

The other point was how do you find the car with the cam timing mod compared to the old set up ?

I really would like to try a noble with the cam timing mod before I do it .

Cheers

My car is similar to "Hawkinsster". Standard exhaust getting much louder and does nice pops and bangs especially in low gears around town (handy for a londoner!)

Looks nice Ian, love the tips so it still looks the same. I could never justify that money for something i don't really need. Makes the silver floor below your silencer look like crap as the cans are so shiny! You going to get that replaced?

As much as I love your car, and plate, Ian, controversially I am not sold on that grill. Top or bottom. Did you do it for practical airflow reasons?
Think the plate with the GB bit isn't great - I used to have that - they look sooo much smarter just plain yellow with the numbers on and no extra stuff.

Two cents, not starting a fight wink
