Hi All

Very strange problem. The 2 wiper arms crossed over one another and appear to be working at different speeds, one barely moving. Is this likely to be a motor failure or anything to do with relays ? Power is still gettting to the motor so im guessing its teh osch wiper motor.
If so does anyone know what the motor is off ?

Sounds like a failure in the wiper mechanism, friend had the main crank fail which IIRC is bespoke but that stopped both working. If one is OK sounds like one of the ball/ socket joints has failed in the mechanism. I've a very vague recollection that the mechanism was from a Polo or Golf

Common issue. The splines could be worn meaning one has slipped and crossed over to the other. Reset them and make sure the lock nut tightens properly as this may be all you need to do.

Other option is to go single wiper by fitting a longer (22" I think?) blade to the driver's aside arm. This almost clears the screen and has the added benefit of applying less stress the motor.

Yes, a 22" will do that

That's what I did. Went single blade.

It can't be the motor anyway as it drives both wipers so it's either slipped as mentioned or something has happened with the mech.
