Speak to Jetstream. Issue might be if ECU is locked.

you cannot map the ecu because it is locked , you will need the code to get into it .

Hi! I have contacted an old italian importer of Noble that he tell me that the MBE Ecu it's NOT locked if i want to rewrite.
The password it's need only if i want to modify the property Noble file.
This is correct?

If i buy cable and Easimap software, my mechanic may be able to map?

Where can I buy the cable? It's not a standard rs232 cable. I need it to do some re-mapping and tuning. Thank you.

If your ' tuner' has never mapped the car before then he is in for a shock when he uploads the new map he has done. Given you are asking for the software on here it seems unlikely he is an expert and has done it before.

We have seen it many times before with people / tuning companies thinking they can map the car, the ecu seems to accept the new map but won't run afterwards as they are coded. Some early cars were not coded.

Unless they are going to wipe the ecu completely and then start from their own scratch made map it will corrupt... You have been warned.

We are only talking about the MBE ecu, this is why the trend now is to bin it and put a more modern one on which can be mapped by different people.

As a matter of interest how do some of the other places do it ?
Without wanting to reopen very old conversations, I had a map put on by Mike's company several years ago (of former scoobie fame), and have had no issues what so ever.
Pretty certain I remember somebody in the very early days (10 years ago- possibly noblemods) saying it was easy to hex dump the code out?

Mikes company also corrupted a few ecus that didn't run afterwards and needed to go to one of the few tuners who have the mbe codes to be fixed.

Some early cars were not coded hence some cars were able to be mapped.... It's a risk especially on later cars.
