Can anyone tell me what size the oil pressure switch thread is please? I need to buy a tee to fit a pressure gauge.

I think it's 3/8 NPT, you also have a port at the rear of the engine below the exhaust manifold.

...... which is a MUCH better location as the T at the front can interfere with the alternator etc and end up leaking as mine did.

If the UK engines are the same as the ones that we use in the US, the oil pressure switch over near the oil filter is a smaller port (1/8 or 1/4 NPT), and the port next to the rear exhaust manifold is much larger, like 1/2 NPT or so. On the US cars, we run an adapter that changes from the hole in the block to -3 AN, which is the size of the line that runs to the oil pressure gauge in the dash.
