First of all great day at Jetstream...well done guys, and thanx to fellow Noble'r who supplied me with the tools & jubilee clip when we pulled into Stanstead services and one of my hoses had split... thanx mate.
Noticed about halfway home back to Hastings a rumberling noise sort of wheel bearing whine, rumble...
I drove it again today and noise seems to be getting louder... was just wondering are the wheel bearings serviceable or do they come as a complete hub assembly and finally are they a common fitment maybe Mondeo ect.... im not sure if the noise is front or rear yet but will get it up in the air during the week and try and check it out..... im not a mechanic so will probably get somebody else to do it but if I know what fits I can pass the information to my mechanic.... thanx

Well it finally stopped raining so got out jacked up car spun wheels ...nothing seems loose and no strange noises.... can you tell if the hub nuts have been changed to Porsche Boxter type by just looking at them?
Will now check alternater bearings might it be that?

yes, the standard ones are two thin black nuts locked together, the Porsche ones are big nylock nuts

Go to german and Swedish and buy a BMW E36 2.5 rear wheel bearing... £20 and is exactly the same bearing and quality, got one only last week for another fellow owner who had the same issue. It needs to be pressed out but is only a 2hr job.

And glad the clip and tools helped, I always carry spares just in case smile
