Hi all,
Cars in bits and a bit stuck at the moment for a number of reasons. Got it in for its MOT on Sunday and it's still in pieces with no floor, alternator or intercooler.
Therin lies my problem..
1. Got a new floor but holes don't line up perfectly - using self tapper hex head screws so plan is to drill holes a bit bigger (refer to old floor to check it) with a washer and silicone if needed so should be ok there
2. Alternator, how on earth do I get the new one in? Tried getting top in first and not enough space to swing it at the bottom (fouls on chassis iirc) and if I get the bottom in the right side of the chassis first then the top fouls on the bracket it needs to go into.
3. Intercooler, got a proalloy one to go in but the lower inlet pipe (from rear turbo) fouls on the chassis before the holes are all lined up. With no hose on it will go on but no space to get the silicone hose on, am I missing something?
Thanks in advance for any help you can give to try relieve me of my headache,
Alex

Cheers guys, I think mine is maybe slightly more angled inwards which has made things tricky but think I'm on top of it now
Got the alternator on after a quick call to JS to make sure I wasn't missing anything obvious before man handling into place - just fiddling with belt now and then got the floor to crack on with
