My car has a bad misfire, it idles Ok but if I give it a small amount of throttle the engine dies. Giving it more throttle it will rev ok but kangaroos and generally misbehaves, especially if you adjust your throttle position slightly. I'm no expert but I've had a couple of cars in the past with similar symptoms and replacing the TPS cured them.
Can anyone help? Will I be able to just swap out the sensor or will it need syncing with ECU?

Funky replaced his last week after similar issues and he tested my one on his car... he had to configure it in the ecu, and then do the same when he bought a new one a few days later....

He runs a Motec like me so can do it himself as its a very simple task 30 second task once the computer is booted up. As you are probably running an MBE you will need to go to a dealer and have them do it... although if you sensor is failing there is every chance it will drive miles better with a new sensor fitted even without configuration... i would get it done though rather than simply fit and forget.
