Hello All,

Ive spent a good few hours reading many of the interesting posts on here and and more convinced than ever that an M1 is the way to go. Having sold my Porsche in october i held back from diving into something new and was just bidding time, but now feel the time is right.

I have a couple of questions if i may. Does anyone know the car A95MAT its a 3R 2003. It looks amazing and im due tom see it and hopefully buy very soon. Also can anyone recommend a mechanic who would be willing to inspect the car for me ( car is in West suffolk bury st edmunds)?

Having read a number of threads I appreciate there will be a few things i would need to upgrade potentially but a heads up would be great.

Thanks for reading, hopefully ill be able to join as a new owner soon.

Best
Umeer

You could try Matt at Jetstream or Martin at Bespoke. JS Are leicester and Bespoke Hertfordshire so neither is close to the car - not sure if they would travel?

If you are serious about the car you could always ask the owner to see if they would allow an inspection at either site?

good luck

Thanks Steve ,

The car is on a forecourt of a non specialist garage. They're happy for an inspection, not sure they will allow me to take it away for one but can only ask. Leicester is actually not too far away from BSE so I'll give them a call and see what's worth their while.

Thanks
Umeer

I think that one has been for sale for a while - (it has four exhaust pipes in a slightly odd formation?)

Not necessarily a bad thing, just worth keeping in mind if just for negotiation / leverage

Kerridges in Downham Market. Worth giving Steve a call to see if they can help.

Yep, literally just up the road in relative terms.

Agree with these, give Steve Kerridge a ring (Owner of Kerridges) just a stone throw away from BSE at Needham Market, might have some history with them?

That's superb Thankyou , yes it has the 4 exhausts, didn't realise it had been for sale for a while. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing but may offer a degree of flexibility on price. I'll give the guys a call on Tuesday !. I did do an MOT check in the car, mileage adds up and sit seemed to fail a couple of times in the past on oil leaks , but last one seemed OK . I gather that oil leaks are not uncommon but obviously need addressing.

Thanks again!

Really?!

I didn't know that and the seller never offered that info! Hmm that's put a different swing on things. I'll have to have a rethink. Again thanks for pointing it out! I'm not totally adversed to cat d as this could be potentially a long teermer but I'd like to know what damage / work has been done.

Thanks again

OP.
Just a heads up.I know Steve at Kerridges is negotiating to buy a 2003/53 Larch silver 3R with only around 13k miles. He rang me the other day as it's my previous car that I sold in 2004 with 5k on the clock. The guy who bought it from me lived in Guernsey and was anal about it, so there's a good chance it will still be a cracker.
Worth giving him a call sooner rather than later on 01449 720222

I didn't know either until I rung them a few weeks ago with the intention of buying it (especially with the number plate !!!) I asked a few questions but got few answers and when I asked if it was HPI clear he said no its cat D as stated in the advert ???? Got no idea what advert he was talking about because its not on the Ebay one 100%

I get the number plate. I did ask if there were any obvious issues and he stays quiet. Would have been really annoys if I'd driven all the way from London to find it was cat d. I will however give Steve a call, I've definitely decided on a noble, have another DD.

In all pretty glad I dropped a message on this forum.

Btw it does not say cat d on the advert.

Yes that's the one , the dealer either had no information on the repair or extent of damage or can't be bothered to tell me. Either way my search continues!

there was a nice 3R at Plans Performace but that's been sold too !! Try giving Jetstream , Bespoke Performance , Noble Motorsport and Mole Valley a call you never know .
