Hi everyone. I became the very proud owner of my first Noble 2 weeks ago yesterday. Very very happy with it. Its an M12 GTO 3R 2003. Previous owner was on here so I'm sure some of you will know the car which BTW is how I found it on the PH classifieds. Lovely run back from Plymouth to Eastbourne only issue was the speedo stopping after 2 hours, lock in the petrol cap falling out and loosing a centre cap of a front wheel !!!!!! All sorted now though apart from a noise idler pulley which now won't stop squealing so thats next on the list.

Hi Matt I have had a chim and a tuscan and the Noble is really a different league. The Noble gets so much attention . I think the noble is so much more refined in the handling, it's second to none.

A squirt of belt dressing on the idler pulley should remove the squeal. I replaced mine, and it still squeaks some days.

Yeah its had a few nice bits Speedlines, Tuxman splitter and wing end plates, BCS exhaust, air filters are at the front of the engine bay, uprated fuel pump and loom, indoor car cover and the previous owner is also sending down the original Noble luggage set. Also came with the original 3R wheels which to be honest I'm not sure whether to keep or not. Any thoughts and approx values would be appreciated

Thanks for the advice I tried that and although it does go quiet it seems to have made it worse as it needs a squirt every time you start it up. Do they not last very long ? as I saw from a previous thread that he put a new one on only about 18 months ago.

Hi Matt, welcome to nobility! I was going to sell mine a month or two ago, but both the kids said they'd disown me- I didn't take a lot of persuading, puts a smile on my face, guaranteed! Try to get to autosport in a few weeks time, quite a few of us will be going, enjoy, John

Quote often it's not the belt at all, ( which is why a squirt of belt slip doesn't work)but a build up of surface rust on the pulleys. Hence quite often it's worse after it's got wet.

Thanks Its actually my friends Tiger 2.0 Pinto running Yamaha carbs. He's quite funny as since the Noble has been parked next to him he's not quite so impressed with his Tiger !!!!! I just keep consoling him with the fact that he could by nearly 7 of them for the price of the Noble

The squealing is def coming from the idler bearings as it stops as soon as a squirt lands on it.
