Ok I have some prices based upon a minimum of 5 buyers for each variation of exhaust. All prices include fitting but exclude vat:

Unfortunately, the £650 for the backbox is the best they can do. Apparently the normal price should be £750 and he misquoted.

A turbo-back decat exhaust is £1100

Turbo-back with 100 or 200 cell sports cat is £1800

Again, this is based on a minimum of 5 buyers per item and excludes vat.

Ian stressed that they don't do mail order - your cars will need to be left there to be worked on to ensure everything fits perfectly. I have asked him for further details on db levels which I'll post here when I have them.

In case anyone who has already expressed an interest is deterred by any of the above, I will not add your names to the thread. Please do so yourself. I'll start:

1) macky17 - backbox

Have you not tried BCS, if its quality you're after, you would struggle to find better IMHO:

Received this from Ian at H&S today:

"Sound wise , we can make as loud or as quiet as you wish but our standard set up ( what you are having ) is approx 96DB which is track day friendly

The picture is similar to what you are having but you are having flanges to match the standard system"

That's pretty quiet, my standard system is 98db on the static test.

My standard system was measured at Goodwood last week at 90dB. Always come between 88 & 90 dB.
Or is mine not standard? How can you tell?

If it looks manky it's probably standard biggrin

It's likely mine has blown out some of the stuffing if yours is that much lower.

Good additions to the H&S system are flexi's and repackable boxes !!!
Std system is a single box where the Early H&S is a double box .

The system you are looking at is Tuxman's Orriginal setup , good system that made very good power still running on Devils car .

Here is the Std system .

I take it the reason interest has died away here is the travelling to essex thing? If so, let me know and I'll see if they will compromise on that approach.

I'm interested- I looked at options a while ago but just couldn't justify 2k plus.

I'm just looking at what budget I can stretch to now- I'd rather have the turbo back. Legally I guess we need cats, so that adds cost. Essex fitting is no real bother for me.
I'm also factoring in a mapping session and already have some uprated actuators ready to fit. These thins snowball though and I'm tempted to do;

1/ Exhaust £780
2/ Uprated wastegate actuators £0
3/ Valve springs and timing £250
4/ Mapping £500

£1600 rounding it up. or 3k with the full system. (2200 non cat)

Will get to a descision over the next couple of days.
Thanks
andy

From memory £250 is just the cost of the springs. I'll probably do them myself- though got to be careful with the timing. I'm sure it's just back to Ford standard so all the timing marks should be there.
Anyone confirm for me?

It's possible to do it with the heads on. Just have to remove the cams and prevent the valves dropping into the cylinders, and not drop anything into the engine....

I just had a quick search around, the springs seem to be from Piper, VSSNFV6, and are £300+vat.
so that's another £110 on the budget!
