Just waiting for the AA...

As the title says. 10 minutes into tonight's journey and the car gives a couple of slight splutters/minor kangaroo. Then a couple more, so I start thinking something is wrong. Put the pedal down and we take off as usual, but then the big spluttering starts! Then we're barely running at all, proper loss of power. Crawl into the petrol station riding the clutch and keeping the revs up just to keep going. Sat waiting for 10 minutes & decide to start her up. All sounds perfectly normal! Just sat with revs at 4k for 20 seconds and not a skip of a beat. What should Mr AA be looking for when he arrives?

Fuel pressure, if it's alright when not under load, so fuel system, maybe poor electrical connection, so fuses/relays/pump connection
