As for the factory standard gearbox and clutch what sort of power can these cars reliably handle? Also I have been told the 3 litre models were the ones with the valve spring issues and not the 2.5's?

I think 370 HP is maximum recommended, at 380 cylinder 5 is the weak point I believe. Plus at that HP you would need about 1 bar of boost and I wouldn't want it any higher with standard parts.

Thats interesting as my car was recently mapped at 1.1 bar at 348 bhp by Jasper. That is on a stock exhaust and only mod is intercooler. I am thinking should I unplug to 0.7 bar to be safe? Though he said thats fine? I'm hearing different stories here...

If he's done it I'm sure you will be fine as he knows what he's on about better than me when it comes to nobles!
348 sounds good out of a standard 2.5.

As I stressed on the mapping day I was after it being safe and not bothered by loads of power. I realise Trevor knows his stuff but I am ignorant to a point about what these T25's can really handle...I say this as I have spent a fortune getting this car up and running. I'm confident the engine is fine, turbo's worry me after the state mine were in before the rebuilds as they had been overboosting!!

The graph shows it peak at around 1.25 Bar but at peak power it's at about 1.1. Mine would probably take a bit more now with the better intercooler but as said in the other thread the limit was that it was getting some valve bounce rather than heat I think.

So are you runnning stock turbos? Have you done many miles since the map? Interesting as mine is 343 lb/ft so the cars must be pretty close! With your more torque and my slightly more bhp.

yes stock turbos, probably around 15,000 miles since remap. Unfortunately my car is on the brink of being sold so we'll probably never find out how close they are!

Mines 410 at 1.2bar on std turbos (engine built for strength). They are well outside there efficiency though.

380 does seem to be the limit. You will need exhaust to get there and anything after that you need to change the upper inlet manifold for the ST200 one (let's more in).

It should come with the throttle body (bigger diameter). So the hose from IC to TB will need to change. Also the TB itself is upside down so throttle cable attachment bracket needs modding (I think). But it's an easy mod. (Although my garage did mine)

Yeah, I was fitting the charge cooler so needed to by a new one anyway. Think mine is a reducer from the BoV pipe.

Now sprayed and going back together.

Had a lot to do with the new clam not being very good and lots of illnesses.
