Evening all, I have had an intermittent alarm for a few months now and last night was the final straw after 5am screaming attention!I have replaced the clam switch and door switches, all set perfectly as initially I thought it would be this.

Autowatch who manufacture the alarms sent me a test procedure to identify the problem area, it is pointing at ignition. Is this a whole unit or seperate switch attached? Any help would be much appreciated as I am going slowly mad with this car! Cheers

my door switch worked perfectly, however one didn't engage a lot and thus when it was damp it went off... wasn't usually an issue as it was garaged, but when I stayed round someones house it went mental and was a nightmare.

so check how far they actually engage

I already tried that by trying some little bump stops on the door to make sure it was fully depressing, that made no difference! Just noticed the switch is seperate, it would be interesting if anyone else has had this issue? I've had them all nearly!!! Thanks for your help

The battery is perfect and it's sat on an acumate conditioner. The test from Autowatch was pointing at ignition... All very odd fine at the moment, but after driving seems worse especially when paying for fuel!!

Siren connections fine and cleaned no corrosion. Is the alarm module in this location (without giving too much away security wise on here!) Chappers where would I start checking this?

Both front corners and rear connector. Alarm uses the indicator circuit when it locks (flashes the lights) when mine was playing up it turned out to be some shorting wires in the connectors that had got a bit old so we replaced them and it's been great now. You might have to start digging around in there though, also check the physical spade connectors on the rear lights but it might be within the wires. Just a hunch, might be fine but it's something I experienced!

Cheers Chappers, I know the rear connectors are perfect as are the fron side repeaters, but I haven't checked the fron indicator connections as they're sealed units? One thing i have done since is screwed the door switches in even more as the interior light was a bit iffy, now it's fine...maybe there wasn't a great earth? It's odd as it had been going off only at night. But was ok last night and since, TOUCH WOOD!!
