Had various work done on the car including tunnnel cooling mod and noticed today when the car was running in the garage for 10 mins there was a pool of water from the front coming out of the louvered inspection panel? It was coolant! Is it easy to check up there, are there any jubilee clips which could have been loosened in doing this job or damaged hose? Cheers

Are you absolutely sure it was coolant and not just plain water? Have you last any coolant? Have you used the air conditioning recently?

The front louvered panel is where the air conditioning drain sits behind water from there is normal

Otherwise I don't think there are any jubilees there, but a pipe may have been clipped when altering the sheet metal

Sure was coolant as it had the taste! Air con was on infact for a bit as I was checking it. Could it be that a jubilee clip needs a tighten near the front; and it's draining down to the louvres?...Are the hoses a pain to change?

I beleive the heater control valve is up there so that's my best guess at what's leaking.
Hose joints that are fine can leak when disturbed.
Or, at worst a screw used in the mod has punctured a hose.

The heater valve is a absolute swine to change unfortunately.
Have you lost coolant?

A water system pressure test kit could be your friend here, pressurise the system and see if the leak presents itself

Don't suppose show ever did your tunnel mod has been rough and drilled the alloy plate on the chassi institute Instead of removing it and caught a hose with the drill !!!!!

The floor was done at the same time, and it is coolant. I thought it would be a pain, sounds very Noble to me! The never ending saga list continues! I won't be happy if I find out it was due to drilling. Way too coincidental with all the work going on around that area of the car. Talk about an endless money pit
