So this forum is slowing down quite a bit with the big modifiers not really posting much on here anymore about what they are up to.

So lets try and kick some interesting discussion about winter plans etc

I will kick it off... Usually my car has a massive list of planned mods and winter sees some significant mods, unusually I have nothing big planned and only small finishing off mods to do so here is my list.

New bigger Injectors.
New more powerful coils.
Fix / replace wheel speed sensors (cause off all my misfires this year lol).
Remap car for above.
Trim center consol
Make carbon passenger seat to match drivers seat.
Design and make some carbon wing supports and end plates.
finish rear diffuser and exhaust tips.

Not sure if I am going to push the power of the car up... but.... on saturday I saw a focus RS on the hub dyno I ran mine on and we had a bit of banter and we got asked to guess the power and I said if it makes more power than mine I would put mine on and slap up the boost to whoop its ass etc etc... then it made 800bhp at the flywheel (55bhp more than me) and I got to eat my words lol.
It was very very impressive actually running 3bar of boost... then again it was running race fuel rather than standard pump fuel like mine smile
So id be lying if I said I wasn't tempted to turn the boost up just a little on mine to see if I can find 60bhp lol

My project is to find a Noble to buy !

Power wise, what boost are you running now - 3bar of boost is alot of pressure and would make the car unwealdy to drive on the roads, particularly off-boost in the lag zone. Its a track only set up i guess. Was that all on front wheel drive ?

As im new to the marque, im guessing most peoples projects are either based around engine tinkering & pro-alloy bolt on bits or heat reduction by venting the rear clam better.

Whatever ideas i develop before buying a new toy, always end up being the last things that I do when ive got the car! I dont know why.

Also - its interesting how quiet the Ph forum is getting - this is not just Noble, all areas are moving away from here. I guess on to other sites like facebook. Ph has never been the same since it was sold, understandably much more commercial now.

I run 1.4-1.5 bar currently... the sweat spot on my turbo is 1.6bar and I have run 1.7 bar with this turbo on previous engine spec, the new spec engine allowed more power to be made on less boost... Ive run this engine / set-up for 3 years now.

Mods have varied massivelly, its very easy to get sucked into modding these cars as they respond so well to it and the chassis can take whatever you throw at it.

good luck with the hunt.

Well last year I had I big list of things to sort out over winter but this year I have managed to do little and big jobs when time allowed over the summer.

So my current list of winter jobs is to change the wheels and tyres to the rotas whenever they arrive, replace the oil pressure switch, make an adaptor cushion so I can safety mount a baby seat in the bucket seat and reseal the headlights and that's about it.

My winter plans are to drive the car as I haven't had it for so long. This is assuming I get it back soon.

But as it hopefully will be like a new car I might be scared to get it dirty. Lol

Rear turbo off and rebuilt - Done
Strip and repaint / heat management on intercooler box - done.
replace hose clamps with Mikalor - on going.
Drill PCD and fit Carbon steering wheel.
strip down rear clip and repaint / protect
New air-con receiver dryer.
Fit LED drl / switch back indicators.
Oil change.
Polish my trafficstar's
New diffuser,
Carbon tunnel trim from Jetstream.
Finish Vac / coolant lines replace.
New air Filters with heat Shields.
New wing mirrors.
New D2S hella lights.

concentrating on engine bay and lighting mostly. I find it strangely therapeutic and relaxing after a busy week at work.

I going to continue using mine whilst working on a few bits. Before summer next year I would like

New Mirrors, cant see a thing out of passenger.
New diffuser and splitter - have neither.
Air con - had a re-gas but the compressor does not kick in, not looked at it further yet.
Might do some noise reduction/cabin heat sheilding as its borderline too noisy/hot for day to day use.

need ideas for all the above.

This is my winter plan:

On track, with terrible intro music

While it doesn't sound as good as the Ford, it'll work much much better.

Fit my new wheels when they arrive .
Refurbish the originals.

That might be it as one of my daughters gets married at Christmas , keep hoping they fall out [only joking].

What I did to reduce heat in the cabin:

Added two vents to the console. I no longer sweat.

That's looks very neat, really excellent work. I need the soundproofing as my exhaust is quite boomy in the cabin at 2-3k rpm, just want it slightly quieter.

I've got a huge list of stuff to repair and mods I want to do. After I've fixed all problems the mods may or may not happen this winter or even ever!

I just got 1/2 of one of my winter projects done.

Installed the electric door mirrors. Got tired of having to adjusting the door mirrors every 5 min (or so it felt like). I still need to wire them, but its not winter yet.

http://www.nobleforums.com/showthread.php?11551-El...

Phase two wire them.

also have plans to:
Replace/modify the rear toe links to adjust toe more simply.
Double check suspension geo/ride height.
Swap out the seats with something that has a headrest that does more that look good.
Convert headlights to HID (LED maybe???)
Plumb the coolant to the turbos (Still not sure why they chose not to do this on the USA car's)
Clean, touch-up, clean some more. Get it ready for next years concours de elegance.
I normally don't care much about having a concourse level car, but I am hanging out with some BAD influences.
Keep reading this thread for new ideas.
