Just wondered how many miles you would expect a decent Michelin tyre to last on a Noble if driven regularly at fast road speed. I don't mean the tread - I mean the grip. As my Corvette taught me, you can have 5mm+ left but the tyre is useless due to repeated heat cycles.
When I do need new tyres, I'm thinking of going for a semi-slick. What do you guys use?

I changed my P-Zero Rossos because they were cracked through age rather than worn.
I think it takes some track work to make them necessary for changing through wear (although someone will be along to say how their toyos were trashed after a 3,000 continental trip..)
I'm running Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2s and they're really growing on me. Nice on road and track, but not tried them in the wet.
They're semi-slicks but do have a rain friendly tread pattern. I've also run Toyo R888s and liked the grip in damp and dry, but won't move monsoon water like P-Zeros could.

Thanks Jarcy. I don't drive in the wet unless I get caught out anyway so either of those sounds good. Sounds as though 6000 miles is good for a set of road tyres then. Certainly it's interesting at the moment getting oversteer as the diff kicks in... Quite fun in fact.I think it takes some track work to make them necessary for changing through wear (although someone will be along to say how their toyos were trashed after a 3,000 continental trip..)
