My alarm went off last night, probably caused by the rain.
The problem is that the siren wouldn't switch off. The alarm kept resetting itself but then restarted almost immediately. Operating the key fob had no effect. I even started the car and the alarm kept sounding.
Then it stopped. Now, the central locking works OK, but there is no bleeping sound to confirm that the alarm is set
Any ideas guys?
Chris.

I had a similar problem when I unwisely threw a bucket of water over the front clam when washing it. Result...alarm going off and not stopping no matter how much I tried to dry it out with cloths. Solution...take it out for a vigorous drive! I eventually managed to get it to stop and learned my lesson, but it sounds like yours might be more prone to it. There must be a set of terminals or it grounds to earth or something that trips the contacts when it gets water on it. I guess you might also want to check your drain holes are clear as you may be filling the front up with water.
