If I was you I'd be trying to get to £36k and go and look at the m400 for sale on here. If it is as good as the ad makes out, then you've got a car that will make you money (too good to be true surely). They cost the same to run as a 3R. Saying that it does look like a factory spec model so may need a new exhaust and a couple of other parts to get it right.

Good luck with your search. Having just collected mine yesterday, I had the same purchase profile as you. I did end up spending a bit more to buy the right car. I also tried to view that M400 but am still waiting for a message back from the dealer to say it's ready to view.

I am also "on the hunt" at the moment
The M400 I have not seen, but ive spoken to someone who has, they said there were big holes in the history and had multiple shades of silver.

Anyone looking to sell, let me know

Got a lovely 2.5 here that nobody seems to want. It's a great car as everyone who's seen or been in it would agree but I can't seem to get people to come and look at it.

I think people are scared of 2.5s, for whatever reason. It's not a bad car, it's not a bad price, it's just not got a 3.0 litre engine.

Completely agree Chappers. Mine is a 2.5 and it is AMAZING, especially given that the power / weight in mine is now better than a 3.0.

Anyone looking for a Noble, go and drive both (2.5 & 3) and make up your mind, but a well sorted 2.5 should not be ruled out IMO - you will also get more for your money.

My 2.5 had 352bhp, which I think was the same as a standard 3R? I saw no reason to upgrade had it not been written off. I also much prefer 5 speed boxes to 6 speed in all vehicles I've driven, Noble or not.

Well said all nobles are great cars no mater what size of engine they have in my opinion. What's the advantage with the 6 speed box is it true they are stronger. My GT03 goes great with the 5 speed. The 6 speed might give you longer gears but is this such a big difference.

I believe the 6 speed is stronger than the 5. But then most 5 speed cars have now been fitted with LSD, which solves the problem. I think issues are with big increases in power.
I'm sure someone will correct me shortly!laugh

The 5 speed can be upgraded with new bearings I believe to make it stronger.I the standard 3.0 really that slow that it needs to run more power.

And mine......completely reliable 2.5 running 380bhp, I prefer the power delivery of the mechanical only actuator, prefer a five speed to a six, and the the bulk head mounted filters are a must - getting to this stage cost more than 3R but this way i know exactly what's been done - buy standard and low mileage and use the saving for upgrades!
