Bad news today guys, car is in at the garage and found a whine to be down to a broken turbo! I need to get replacement manifolds ASAP also as one is cracked, from South West Lotus. What are the replacement turbos for these cars, was wondering where on earth you would find them? Only had the car 2 months, been nothing but problems. Only done 27k too and a very clean example so I've been told. Any help much appreciated. Joe

You could try Universal Turbos and see if they can help with a compattible unit?

Approx £1800 gets some nice GT2859's. Much better. However new updated manifolds would be good at £1200 😊

So are these the standard turbos? Mapping could be a problem if turbos are different, as Noble Motorsport remapped it and hardly anyone has the software so I believe. I'm in Hampshire, so miles away

Universal turbos are really helpful, they did the original Noble turbos too and they are in Hampshire. Don't get too despondent, mine had a few teething issues at first but when sorted and used regularly has been fine and done over £8K miles in a year and is the best thing I have ever used.

If you have the MBE ecu, mapping is not a problem, Trevor Jasper AKA Yellowshed on here has all the software needed and kbows the cars inside out

Joe, don't take this the wrong way,but just in case you're not familiar with these cars, you've got to go through a cooling down period with these turbos after a brisk drive or you'll cook em again. I've gone through enough turbos on mine & still not sure whether I've let them cool down enough before shutting down!

Stephen is right, not only cooling down before switching engine off,
Just as importamt is warming up, you need at least 80deg oil temp before even considering opening her up

Evening guys. Thanks very much for all your input here, much appreciated. I spoke to Graham at Universal Turbos and he was very helpful. He will be rebuilding the units now as the casings are no longer available. Buying 2x new stainless manifolds with all news studs etc - strong money for what they are! The car will be great when sorted! When it's up together I would love to come to some meets and see all the other cars

Another Hampshire owner here. You're in save hands with Ray at west tunning as he knows his way around a noble.
I also hand my turbos rebuilt by Universal Turbos with no problems since.

Finally all done and dusted! Made 313 bhp which I'm happy with as Ray said most make 280-290 in standard form, so happy days. Now for the the deep clean and detailing journey.
