Show us your splitters
Discussion
Hi guys, my 3R doesnt have a splitter and I feel the front looks a bit naked. Unless im missing something the piston heads search function is next to useless. I want a splitter that still allows me to open the front clam so if people are willing to post a few different variations it would be appreciated. I'm happy to buy one or build my own.
Cheers

standard splitter bolts to the clam so moves with it. You'll find there are already tapped bushes for the mounts inboard below the number plate and I think just clear holes on the outer edges.
There's a couple of general styles- either a complete one piece, or 2 seperate 'boomerang' bits that don't extend inwards much past the edge of the numberplate.
Plenty of images through google image search 'noble m12 splitter', though maybe not many closeup.

A lot of people run the carbon full splitters, which were supplied by Tuxman on here, not sure if he still does them, sure he will be along at some point to comment.

Andy had a mould and made the kind offer of letting me use it and the various bits of kit needed.
It's dry carbon fibre/Aramid mat layed in the mould, a foam core, and an inner carbon layer. The whole lot is then vacuum infused with resin. After removing from the mould it's cleaned up, trimmed and laquered.
I went for the aramid mix as I considered it might be more flexible so less likely to shatter. You could just wet lay but it would be tricky to keep the weave of the carbon neat. Cheap option would be wet lay glass fibre and paint it.
I know how to make another- but I don't have the equipment.
