Your help appreciated as always.

Any thoughts?, relays and fuses appear fine,

Thanks in advance

It was my ECU that had failed when that happened to me. We're starting to see one or two MBE ECUs failing.
I hope it's something simpler/cheaper though.

If the fuel pump primes, this would suggest the immobiliser is fine. I'd check that you have 12v @ one/all of the injector (Pin 1 on the injector connector is 12v , earth to the chassis), as the 12v should be constant, and ECU just makes/breaks the circuit to fire the injector. I think pin 1 is the one on the left as you look at the injector plug front on.

If the 12vs isn't present to the injector, then it's a relay or wiring issue. If the 12v is there, then it could suggest an ECU issue or crank position sensor.

I sent my ECU for repair to MBE last year, which cost about £60 to test, and around £250 to fix.

Hope this helps

Phil

Crank sensor is low down on the casing near the front pulley , drivers side .
warning this problem is as suggested normally a ECU failure !!

thanks for that, assuming worse and that it is ecu failure is it easy to remove, and I get the impression repair is the only route as presumably new is not an option.
if so who best to repair?
is it possible to get to crankshaft sensor without a ramp?

problem originally started as not starting well when hot, but when left to cool would, now not starting at all?

many thanks

Both of these are accessible through the offside rear wheel arch. and both easy to remove

I have exactly same problem, the drivers have gone down on mine for injectors ...if you have a d type Ecu you may be able to fix it but if it's a b type your stuffed its in fixable and not interchangeable with d type.
