Noble M12 Query
Discussion
Hello chaps
I am thinking of buying a toy, and the Noble M12 seems to be something i'd like. I have a 996 Turbo and have a history of M cars so I know the fit and finish in the Noble won't be the same
Does anyone know this car at all? http://www.surreyhillscars.co.uk/noble-m12-gto-2.5...

Nope but it looks nice. Being an early car it needs to have had its wiring loom and ECU replaced (and most likely has). Others here will no doubt be along to confuse you with a list of "enhancements" and "must-have modifications" but this is the most important thing I'd check on this car - IMHO.I am thinking of buying a toy, and the Noble M12 seems to be something i'd like. Here is one of those people. Having brought an early car 10yrs ago, for me the other thing to make sure is that it has an LSD as the std diff can break and it's not a cheap fix.
TDS (track day sump) would be nice if u intend to take it on track.

Thanks guys
It definitely has the track day sump but how do i tell if it has the updated ECU and an LSD? Would you say price wise this one looks ok?
I'll leave comment about ECU check to others with more hands-on knowledge. Regarding the LSD fitment, this is an ingenious Noble innovation - it'll have "LSD" written in pink pen on the top of the gearbox housing (look to the rear of the selector forks). "Man in a shed" and all that but, as is often the case, simples works! It definitely has the track day sump but how do i tell if it has the updated ECU and an LSD? The Ad says it has the MBE ECU, which is the ECU they used on GTO3/3r. The 2.5 had the Magneti Marelli ECU which had issues - so it would point that its been upgraded.

Thanks for all your help guys
I bought it, its a pretty mint 30k miles car with only 3 previous keepers (last for 10 years). I was surprised at just how good the paint finish is, its bloody good anyhow, let alone for a low volume car maker. The thing gets more attention that my 996 Turbo and classic, its epic!
Although the wing mirror worked itself loose and is a pain to try and tighten with that spring under the nut
