For what else??

My clutch has started slipping so this winter I plan to remove the engine/box and replace it. So while its out what else should I sensibly look at? I'm not looking to spend money unnecessarily and I'm not really looking for more power, but may have the box uprated anyway.
I'm already at about 400bhp so have the sort of mods you'd expect.

Thanks for the tips - already have the M400 linkage, fitted by the factory at its first service 11 years ago! And scratches? What scratches wink

I'm thinking of thermal barriers for fuel tank and battery and stuff like that.

Get the box machined for an oil cooler... you don't have to fit the actual cooler yet so will be a cheap mod.

I would also 'amend' the fuel system... again doesn't have to cost much and much easier with the engine out.

Upgrade the gear change to M400 cables, relatively cheap mod if you do it yourself and are prepared to source bits yourself, have a friend doing this atm.

Fit sound and head deadening to the bulkhead in those hard to reach places, doesn't add much weight and helps with noise and heat.
