2.5 driver drive shaft help

been hearing a knocking when moving off. tightened everything and can find nothing except play in the drivers drive shaft, I can turn the wheel from say 12 o'clock to about 10past without the inner shaft moving....

anyone know if this will be the inner or outer part? and where can i get one urgent?(I am in surrey but prepared to travel to collect)..

we are supposed to be driving to lemans tomorrow..

right got the outer shaft off and the bearing shell fell out of the inner casing. so the bearing is finished. anyone know if this is a part of the outer drive assembly or available separate??

Jason, no genuine parts are available so probably try Bespoke as they will be closest to you.

the drive shaft is from a ford couger 2.5 . i always get mine from a breakers yard as ford ones are stupid money. or are you talking about the bearing thats in the middle between the gearbox and outer shaft

Which bearing fell apart? inner, outer, left right?

The bearing was actually the inner cv joint on the outer drive shaft. Only option was full outer driver shaft. Not cheap. But many thanks to Matt at jetstream for collecting from Noble factory. 4 1/2 hour round trip and it's back on the road.. LeMan etomorrow back on, 11:20 euro tunnel..
