For those long-term owners you'll recall I've tried this before, but with new owners now on the scene there may be more interest so I'm willing to give this another go thumbup

www.rarerims.co.uk are willing to offer the Rota Grid Drift wheels for our cars with either standard width fronts or 9" (as per the old Compomotives) depending on your preference, so long as there are 5 interested parties for each.

18x8.5 Fronts - 9kg approx

18x9 Fronts - 9.4kg approx

18x10 Rears - 10kg approx

Retail prices are:
18x8.5 - £220 per wheel
18x9 - £230 per wheel
18x10 - £250 per wheel

The group buy would also attract a 15% discount for the 5 sets - of each option - required for this to happen.
PLEASE NOTE these will all be GUNMETAL GREY and not the black in the pictures.

Therefore if you would like a set with 8.5" standard width front wheels the full price is £799 + shipping and if you'd like the 9" front wheels the full price is £816 + shipping

Offsets and PCDs will match standard Noble figures and prices above are inclusive of new nuts, centre caps, spigot rings and VAT. Shipping is £24 to mainland UK addresses, overseas may be possible so ask me and I'll get you a price.

Rob, what's the weight saving over the standard wheels?
Is the dish deeper on the rears as per the standard ones?

Just a bit of an heads up ,I have these on my Golf r32 daily they are quality wheels for the price but the gunmetal colour is the strangest gunmetal I have seen. It's like a bronze colour in many different lights as opposed to what I would call traditional gunmetal.

Did a search and the colours seem to vary so much, could we see the colour of the exact wheels, matt/gloss? rim size as I also like the deeper dish rears. Would be interested in a set

This video explains how the wheels deal with different widths - the wider ones don't have a dish in the conventional sense - the spoke design alters.

Hi Dave

Will do it tomorrow for you its a bit overcast now , I have had a few gunmetal coloured wheels in the past and I wouldn't call this colour by that name .[ They are genuine Rota's and were labelled gunmetal and the touch up I have is also labelled the same so no mistake] Regards

Think I prefer gloss black also if the gunmetal comes out looking bronze!

Seen a few of these go pear shaped and snap off at the end of the spokes, with the power nobles have, Id be weary.

Look great though

To answer a few questions:

They all have to be the same colour and as we'll never be able to agree on a colour I chose gunmetal as a compromise and thought they'd be closest to the Speedlines that seem so popular. If we'd ALL rather a different colour like the grey or silver then I'll be happy to go with that. Except black. Please don't all ask for black tongue out

Andy, I don't know the weights of the standard wheels I'm afraid. Maybe someone can share that with us...
The 'dish' or lip is the same for front or back as per the pictures, the difference is in how concave the spokes are.

It's a bank holiday weekend here in Blighty so I'll get you a price on Tuesday. I'll PM you.

This is essentially two separate group buys running together - one for wheels with 9" fronts, the other for those with 8.5" so the only option colour-wise is for each group to be their own colour. If that makes sense?

Blimey eek Let's see if they can do anything about the colour if we reach 10 sets. And I'll ask about a further discount for 10 which seems reasonable to me.
