Hi Guys

having a wierd issue. When i cold start the car the idle hunts wildly, goes from 1000k to 300rpm to virtually stall. I have to keep the revs up for about 3-4 mins and then it settles just at normal idle.

Just done Brands hatch and same thing after a run, car sits for a while then starting cold ish and it feels like it will stall. Rev it for a bit then it settles.

Any thoughts? Lamda sensor, fuel pump?

cheers

Have you checked that the rubber vacuum pipe/s under the throttle body, etc. aren't pushed on too far?

Someone mentioned a vac pipe - where is that one located?

It's the right angled connector on the left that you need to ensure isn't pushed fully on.

Thanks Rob

I assume if its pushed too far on the pipe on the controller hits the 90 degree bend, therefore reducing the airflow? How far should it be on?

You need to get yourself a copy of the build manual Steve. Here's the rest of the info I was too lazy to post earlier....

I have done the second fix after I had emissions problems for the MOT, see other thread
