Hi Guys
Looked at this blue gto 3r at Pure Cars this week .Does anyone know the car ? Thinking of buying,I have completed some research it's had a fair bit spent on it over and above routine servicing needs one now though on time not mileage.

It's the third car I've looked at,I like to think I know my way around cars but Nobles seem to be the amongst the most difficult to judge. Thanks.

Looks nice.

Perhaps see who last serviced it and see if they know whats been done on the car and if its consistently been serviced?

From the photos it looks like the old stainless steel Breather tank is fitted, which is a really good thing to change to a pro alloy unit as the factory one rusts and you dont want that in the engine.

Apart from good servicing a track day sump is a good thing to have. As is checking when the floor was last re-sealed as this is a £1000 ish job at a garage or very cheap if you are good at diy.

Looks to be a standard car from the pictures other than a BOV but reading the description suggests it's been remapped so you absolutely must find out who's carried out this work. From there you'll hopefully be able to ascertain whether the fuel pump and wiring has been upgraded which is a must if it indeed has been mapped.

The mild steel oil breather is still present and should be swapped for an ali one as it'll be rotting from within and depositing all that crud into the sump.

On a 54 plate car I would assume it's a 6 speed and probably has track day sump but both are well worth checking. 6 speeders had ATB diffs fitted as standard so if it's a 6, it'll have an ATB.

Seems a great price for what reads as a very nice car.

Don't think it's been mapped, 393 bhp is the figure which comes up when you enter a 3R's details into HPI searches!

352 was the official figure but no cars made the std power. After exhaust and re map (more boost) u would see around the 390 mark

Supply and fit shouldn't be much over £200

I am sure you are right ,to be fair Pure cars have been very open .They bought the car it was not taken in p/ex ,from the service history / receipts I am guessing the previous owner got fed up with throwing money at it .

Despite that it needs a service based on time ,they have had the car some while but I spoke to Oliver at Kerridge's [nice guy] and he said they can take 7 months ish to sell.

What put you off buying the car ? if you don't mind me asking.

The sales guy new nothing at all about noble cars and I mean nothing,to the point where I was telling him about the car and my knowledge is limited and I just got the impression he was after making a quick buck ...typical sales really
