Age old debate I know.

Finally, I have to admit to myself that my P Zero Rossos are now a bit hard and have lost grip. Even though they don't look far off brand new! (due to very low mileage)

I am tempted, when spring returns, by upgrading to Pilot Sport Cup 2s but I am not sure if they come in the standard sizes? (225/40 + 265/35) can anyone confirm?

My favourite is Pirelli Trofeo R (looks of course are the biggest decision factor when choosing tyres of course!) but again the fronts only come in 235/40. Will they fit and work without rubbing? Will they look a bit sh*t because ultimately they are slightly higher profile as it's 40% of 235 instead of 225.

So to my final question, what do we think of the P Zero Corsa assimetrico 2? Once again, I seem only able to find the rears, but they are nice and cheap from Camskill (I know a lot of you mention them time and time again).

Can anyone find any of the three above in the right sizes for both front and back? If not, can I get the Trofeo R's in the wrong size on the front or will that annoy me long term? (dont forget tyres tend to last me 3 years!)

Thanks and happy new year all.

I bought some pilot sport cups in standard sizes last June.
Only done a couple of hundred miles and one track day on them but so far they feel very grippy!
Currently available on tyre leader for £640 a set:
£132 for fronts:

£187 for the rears:

That's a great price for them!
Cheers,
David.

Thanks for that David, but although it sounds absurd, I prefer the look of the Trofeo Rs or would rather have Pilo Cup 2s!

But if i don't succeed on the sizes of those, i'll probably follow your lead on the cups at that price!

Cheers

Well, with two minnows it no longer can ever be used as a weekend getaway car so trackdays are the only option really. And I certainly don't need a tyre that works in the wet!! Ha ha
