Hi guys

Happy new year to you all OK got this issue with the car.the front turbo to exhaust manifold gasket has failed the car was recovered to a local garage for repair.I was hoping it was a straight forward replacement but they tell me the car is dripping fuel in this area (I do remember something dripping onto the floor when I had the initial breakdown).my thoughts were as there is a big air leak from the gasket failure the ecu is telling the engine to put more fuel in ? Any ideas or help would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Chris

I would say the adaptive maps want resetting , as you have suggested the leaking manifold has given the lamda probe a incorrect ready and it has richens everything up .

Mmm that would be a right pita simon if that was the case as the car is at a garage close to me that does not have the software to do that I was expecting it just to be a simple gasket replacement and job done.they were on about doing a compression test and checking the injectors but I'm pretty sure that won't be the issue.

If you wanna reset the Ecu just pull the 80amp fuse or dissconnnect the battery for 1/2 hour.
