Decided that the turbos are to much trouble so how do you make up for the turbos? Only way possible with displacement. I have been able to fit a V8 motor in the Noble/Rossion

G/box probably from later FWD Chevy Montecarlo SS et al.
ETS LS lump good for minimum 400BHP plenty of scope to increase well beyond the chassis capability,
I suspect that the g/box will be a stumbling block again with high torque variants.

Cracking work, although more detail is needed. smile

Also it will be interesting to see how the Ford gearbox holds out.

not likely to use existing G/box, these Ls lumps even in low output form churn out in excess of 400 torques.

Over the last week after much measuring Ive managed to convince myself I could get a BMW V10 in there... seeing as I have a V10 going spare it might become a reality lol

Some of the answers. You are right the current gearbox will not handle the torque of the LS motors but most importantly will not fit. I found that one of the F40 gear boxes is a direct bolt on to the LS motors and is readily available. Goal is to make 450bhp which as already been mentioned is very easy with these motors. The transmission can be upgraded to hold 590 ft-lb of torque. I believe that should handle anything the chassis can handle

Everything is progressing very well for only being 3 weeks into the project and one of those weeks being a holiday week.

One of the major design goals was that it had to fit without any chassis modification. The first goal was achieved.

The other major goal is that installed entry level package to cost less that 20000.00 Dollars.

Im impressed you have managed to get an LS V8 in there, must admit i would never have thought it possible... the performance potential is massive with that engine... your price point seems to be very very realistic considering the reliability it would provide for the power levels.

Worth mentioning that the box is a GM F40 box, not a Ferrari F40 box lol... when you talk anything F40 in europe you automatically think Ferrari smile

Going to follow your progress with interest... I'm still amazed it fits smile

A new crate performance LS3 with 525bhp can be had for less than $7K, lesser spec for circa $5K
Put aside some for ancillaries,g/box and drive shafts, should come in less than $20K
Have you managed to keep the air con?
Looks good so far.

That box is out of the diesel Vectra, Astra and Saab I think.

I notice the engine is mounted transversely in one and laterally in the other. How would the G/box work in the transverse layout? I can see it fits laterally easily enough.

It's exactly the same as the current layout in the M12 only a beefier GM engine gearbox combination.
The In line version above is what the M15 should have been, and what the Fenix automotive car was speculated to be.

I am only working on the transverse layout i believe the longitudinal layout would be a mistake in this platform because you are starting from scratch if longitudinal is you goal start with an ultima GTR not a Noble/Rossion.

On the LS3 it would be great if it were as simple as that. It is a special ls block
