Matt Reekie Really Needs A Noble!
Discussion
You Gentlemen are the guardians of all things Noble. Indeed you own this 0-60 Supercar crushing turbo charged Titan and its your help I enlist.
My mate, Matt Reekie watches this forum daily and has a Noble M12 size wad of cash burning a hole in his jeans but......he hasn't got one yet!
He has been to look at a fair few but......he hasn't got one yet!
He reads your daily threads and wants to join in but.........he hasn't got one yet!
He is the nicest bloke you'll ever meet, only thing you haven't met him because.......you guessed it......he hasn't got one yet!
So I have found that there's no pressure quite like peer pressure and you Gentlemen are his immediate peers. It is up to you to make sure he follows the path you have chosen, that he finds the nirvana that you yourselves have attained, that he owns the type of car only a Zonda or Super bike could out sprint. I have tried but must admit I have failed because.......he hasn't got one yet! He will be reading this Gentlemen.
Please help Noble ones, your my only hope!

Matt - I don't know exactly what is holding you back, but this description could have been about me! I waited and waited, looked seriously and at many Nobles six years ago, got disillusioned and bought a cheap Porsche (yawn) while awaiting for the right Noble for me to come along. 3 years later, still without one and still driving the Porsche (z z z z ), I decided to throw my heart and soul into finding a Noble once more (although in the meantime I had been keeping apace with the forum, just watching never joining in as ..... I didn't have a Noble either).
Not only was it just as difficult to find the car I wanted but I was even more disconsolate because prices were the same as they were 3 years previously!
Another 3 years passed and like yourself - no Noble.
This year I decided enough was enough and I began to acutely feel I had wasted 6 years already. I looked all summer - nothing, or rather I procrastinated again, car not really the right colour, no mods, too many mods, too much mileage, too little mileage, too old, like the GTO but would like a GTO3 but better to have a GTO in better condition. Then I need a limited slip diff and a six speed gearbox don't I, so a high mileage GTO 3R would be just the ticket and so on and so on.
The winter arrived in force (in August) and now it was the worst time to buy a Noble (again).
From my experience it is too easy to put the day off, just revel in the idea of owning a Noble, read the forum and think your almost a part of the club without one. There are just to many choices or not enough.
Getting no-where I decided to buy one just a couple of weeks ago, what the hell, and furthermore I was going to force myself to choose from whatever was available that very moment. Pick what I thought was the best car and the best value at the time. A choice of 8 cars. All had there strong points and weak points, none were perfect but I bought one!
Suddenly all that concern about the mods and no mods, the mileage, the year, the history, the engine, the gearbox, the power, the colour, the carbon fibre, it is no longer of any concern at all because I have my very own Noble. I have one of these cars at long last and I am going to take care of it. I haven't taken delivery of the car yet but I cannot wait, just to be fortunate to have one at my disposal and of course to drive whenever I want. Like all these cars, it will be a joy, noisy, fast, exhilarating, fun, a hoot, a delight and it will go wrong, and that's despite whatever choices I made, whatever the differences between cars.
So stop thinking about it, put to good use what you already know, pick a car, and feel the rush of owning one.
In the meantime I am tidying up the garage, getting a car tent, organising all my tools, adding more, reading up on the right Polish, scouring the web for a luggage set, fantasising about which mods I am going to fit, reading the forum with renewed vigour, and all because I have one!
Best of luck, Chris.

Well done Gentlemen, doing a very good job so far. Chris your expo is fastidious and thorough in its approach, how can Matt now say no? But we need more pressure people, we don't stop till he listens and makes the move. He is on the edge of greatness all it requires is the slightest of shoves!

Spencer, tried Pm'ing you but it says you don't permit E-mails.
I was going to suggest he tries the titanium 11K miles 3R at Kerridges, I've been an owner for 9 years, driven several and that is as good an example as any I've had experience of.
And you need to get one yourself as well.
Thanks for that info, as suggested at some point very soon Mr Reekie will be reading this and will be able to follow up that lead. Ps No need to get myself one, as Matt Reekie will soon have one of his own which I will being having a go in!!I was going to suggest he tries the titanium 11K miles 3R at Kerridges, I've been an owner for 9 years, driven several and that is as good an example as any I've had experience of.

Took me three years to see the light, and that was with sjc telling me again and again to buy one. I went through: 996TT, C6 Z06, GTR, cobra rep and Tuscan S. Some great cars there but the Noble has the best combination of power, handling and usability of any of them - indeed the handling is from another planet. Looks incredible too and very popular at car shows. Go scratch that Noble itch while you have the chance.

The longest I've owned any of my previous cars is 19 months, I've had my Noble nearly 4 years now. Say no more.
Agreed. I change cars fairly quickly, usually because I want to try something else, and if I disregard the Noble, the longest I have owned a car is probably 2 years. The Noble on ther other hand is easily the longest I have owned a car at nearly 8 years. Driving it this past weekend & covering 250 miles, it had the same affect on me as it did when I first drove it. Get one!
