I've often thought the car would look meaner if lowered about 20mm and of course the standard suspension is height adjustable. Just wondered how it would feel/drive to lower it on the oem dampers. Also seems very strange to have the adjustable suspension but no easy way to adjust the cambers, etc. afterwards.

I can't remember the hights, but pretty sure lowering it that much will screw up the roll centre unless you made some other adjustments, starting with castor angle.

So Lee Noble chose the best dampers for the job (budget permitting) and they just happened to be height adjustable as well - he wasn't intending that customers would actually ever lower it? Makes (some) sense.

I think Lee Noble chose a generic component that was then adjusted for the application, why would you want to lower the car?

I probably wouldn't but it would at least look better - as most cars do when slightly lowered. I have a Noble promotional poster (will attach image when I get home) which I believe was produced by the company showing the M400 in profile. In the image, the car has been lowered down to the stops to make it look more aggressive. Someone at the company thought as I do...

Would look nice lowered but would be a total nightmare driving on the road

Just lower it and try it out? I've been up and down on mine with x2 different brands of shocks, if you dont like the handling , take it back up!

It's always a compamise between road and track , I found the std height setup to be very good on road but not so good on track , since entering Time Attack I have lowered the car as far as it can go and it's definable quicker on track ....on road though it's bloody awfull !!!
Don't forget if you lower the ride height you should reset all the geometry as well .

Exactly re. the geometry which brings me back to the irony of a car with OEM height adjustable suspension which has no OEM facility to properly adjust cambers or caster if you do smile Anyway, I get why. Part of its charm.

Thats a US M400 in the poster. Perhaps they can run it lower for the road as they lack the lovely UK potholes and speed bumps!! :-)

looking at the wheel size in the picture, I'm not sure if the car is lower or the picture has been photoshopped

My wheel looks smaller, best picture i could find

Worth mentioning that you cant just wind it lower as the camber etc will change, as Adrian says it wasn't designed to be adjustable... you need to get the hubs machined so you can get the geo tweeked to do it properly.

Like Tuxman I have lowered mine, but I've only gone a little lower (5-10mm)... some of the racer boys have gone up to 25mm lower which looks mean but would mean I couldn't get out of my road as I have a ford in my road lol
