Hi Nobility,

Had an issue with my car a couple of months back was driving along then struggled to get another gear the clutch pedal went nearly flat to the floor and would not come back up.I managed to crawl into a petrol station turned car off.Tried to engage gears with the car not running and could do this started the car and the clutch pedal came back to its normal position and everything was fine.

Now over last couple of days I have had a similar thing occur I was at a junction and the car started to try to creep without even lifting the clutch pedal up dont the turn car off thing started again and it was fine the biting point on the car is low and there is zero slippage you guys got any ideas what it may be or where I should be checking ?.

Many thanks

Chris

The "mapper" has a super secret button, it makes your car do all sorts of weird things.

Sound to me like it might be leaking hydraulic fluid... Has the fluid level moved?

If the level has moved and you have not noticed fluid leak anywhere the leak might be from the clutch release bearing and that's why it got stuck fully open (and thus pedal to floor) a few months back.

Of cause it's loads of work to change this so do all the checks on the rest of the clutch hydraulics for leaks, replace the fluid ( it might be old and contaminated) etc first.

Can only be,

Master cylinder
Slave cylinder
Sticking pressure plate
Leak

It won't fix itself though, if it isn't obvious you will have to wait untill it gives up completely

its a standard item, look up the numbers then buy it from demon tweaks as it will be a lot cheaper.
