Chuffed with that.

Work ruined my chance of coming along to the Silverstone meet in early Sep, but I managed to make an RMA day today. Not many cars, so reasonable amount of open track time.
Michelin was there running a timing competition (regularity as opposed to fastest time), but meant we could record laps.
My best of the day was a 2min 22s, which is bang-on what Jason Plato did in the M600 to set the production car lap record.
Graham no doubt will be along with a 2.10 dead to show how it's really done...

very impressive times, did you have any footage?
Unfortunately not as left the go-pro at home. Finding this Harry's Lap Timer v.helpful given I don't have an integrated VBOX. I pair it with the VBOX Sport, which doesn't have a display. However on hanger straight I was hitting over 140mph before the bridge you must be going a hell of a lot faster than that in your beast.
Your times do show how fast we have progressed the old M12's to... I mean owners being able to match M600 times in modified cars that are proving reliable is testament to how far they have come

Is the above relating to your laps? surely thats not right? you must have been well over 144mph?.... I know I'm a total numpty around the track but Im still a massive 15 seconds slower on a lap than you so your were proper flying...
However on hanger straight I was hitting over 140mph before the bridge you must be going a hell of a lot faster than that in your beast.

This was my fastest lap of the day. If there was anywhere where obvious time could be made it was on the Hangar and into Stowe. I was coasting a little at the end of Hangar and not pushing deep enough into Stowe. You can see on the trace (third big spike is Hangar) that the acceleration drops off as I lift. Don't think I could coax much more than 155mph out of if I was really pushing and getting on the brakes as late as poss. However on hanger straight I was hitting over 140mph before the bridge you must be going a hell of a lot faster than that in your beast.

Interestingly my highest speed of the day was 150mph on another lap at the end of Wellington.

well i plotted my logged speed over the lap i posted video up for... makes interesting reading. you are 10mph faster through all the corners and this is clearly were you are massively faster than me.
Was you running low boost with a happy button? or high boost all the time?
Would love to see that if you have it. No variable boost on mine. All in the right foot. Was you running low boost with a happy button? or high boost all the time?
