M600: "It's a bit of a bargain" says Boutwood!
Discussion
Fek, I thought Lidl's California Chardonnay was a bit of a bargain myself
CF, a £40,000 upgrade - I bet Tony and Tux can do cheaper.
And was amazed he even remembered the M12 and M400!

I get the no ABS thing. I really do. But ask the majority of buyers and they want the assurance of ABS when spending £230,000+ on a vehicle. Most people who can afford the vehicle are not going to be hardcore drivers, they are 50+ business men etc and they look at all the other amazing vehicles in that bracket and go "mmm but the Aventador, the GT3RS, the 458 or the Mclaren will be easier for ME to drive fast". If you are a true analogue driver you buy an Ariel Atom or the various other analogue cars. Put ABS on it and have it switchable like the traction control. I think you will get the best of both worlds attract more buyers, Noble will hit their targets, the brand value will go up, the second hand car market will go up in value as the demand for the badge will be higher, we can all be happy. NEXT!
Peter is a big fan of the M12/m400 and supports the club very well , helping us get stands at both Autosport and Silverstone !!!
The M600 is a bargin and without doubt is a awesome bit of kit !!! As for leaving Lee Noble in control what so they can produce a poorly built and appallingly devolved car ... Again !!!!

If you mean cars people can afford to buy then yes, that's what I meant. The M600 is a bargin and without doubt is a awesome bit of kit !!! As for leaving Lee Noble in control what so they can produce a poorly built and appallingly devolved car ... Again !!!!
i must agree with simon . Peter supports all the noble variants and has been a big help along with all the factory helping out for club events over the years as events have grown . I personally met lee at the first stand we had at autosport show we had a flag supplied from a noble dealer And bits from the factory and lees rude comments were off side . The same day I met Peter dyson ( the new owner ) for those that didn't know he was a top guy and spent over a hour on the stand . And we were even offered to use some spare rooms that were booked by the factory at the Hilton been as it was freezing cold in the caravan on site . As for the m600 its a work of art . That only the lucky few will own .
As someone who has actually made a complete lacquered carbon body I find it very hard to understand the £40k premium especially as I believe the body is actually full carbon to start with... surely thats a miss quoted price?
Given the fact the M600 is a genuinely well developed car and the volume they wish to sell for I can understand the cost of the standard model.

I think you'll find the painted ones aren't laid up nearly as carefully and the premium is the extra time to do it "properly" as it were.In other words a bit of a rip off.
You wouldn't find Koenigsegg doing half a job in the lay-up.
They are in an entirely different league though........

I thought when it came to pretty carbon Pagani were the masters,
I was looking at a Pagani and a Koenigsegg side by side and couldn't decide which was better, the Pagani had some lacquered carbon on it, the Koenigsegg had no lacquer on it at all as far as I could see.You pays the money you take your choice.

All of the Noble M600 parts are laid up exactly the same. One customer car and also the orange press car originally both had painted roofs to match the body, but were later stripped back to show off the herringbone weave and then lacquered. The company who make the parts are at the top of their game in the carbon world and make parts for most of the world's best vehicle manufacturers. I have seen a lot of their work, and met the workers, and they are huge perfectionists. I have had a tour recently of the Koenigsegg factory and they, as well as Pagani do clear coat their bare carbon. This not only gives you the ultra smooth and shiny finish, but also protect the carbon from the U.V rays which can fade/discolour the weave. In other words a bit of a rip off.

Plus, the previous cars mentioned start at 4 times the price of an M600... you lot try and build one cheaper.

If that's the case then customers are being charged an extra £40,000 for clear coating rather than painting!!Plus, the previous cars mentioned start at 4 times the price of an M600... you lot try and build one cheaper.

Is there some "extra" carbon trim or something?
What am I missing here?
