Hi Guys just failed the MOT on the idle emissions test by 0.017! Does anyone know of a test station in east surrey that may not be so picky or test emissions?!

I take mine here in walton on the hill, they tell me there is no data for the car, so they don't test emmisions

Yeah I was told that 2 tests ago. It passed the last one anyway so they didn't say anything.

If they have no data they have to test it as a none cat car.

As per one of the previous posts, M12's are not listed in the MOT manual so only have to pass the visual smoke test.

however, worth checking lamda sensors as if they fail the cat can glow re hot.

Any garage that says that is on a sticky wicket, if there is no exact match you have to do a cat test to basic standards for the year, for their sake you should do some editing of your posts.

My MOT place tests the emissions every year.

They have to run the car for a bit, but they are very patient and I have never failed.

Well only failed once due to a failed lambda sensor.

Surprised you are having problems.
